Software development

Applications and APIs built properly — designed, architected and shipped by someone who has done it at scale.

What we do

We design and build software end to end. From the first conversation about what the thing needs to do, through data modelling and architecture, to a running system your team can maintain.

Most of our work is in C#, TypeScript and JavaScript, on .NET and Node, deployed to Azure, AWS or Cloudflare. That's where four decades of production software sit deepest.

The track record is specific. LINQ to SQL and Entity Framework at Microsoft. Security lead across xbox.com. The Atom editor at GitHub. Developer experience and SDKs at Auth0. The official MongoDB provider for Entity Framework Core.

How we work

We start with the outcome, not the feature list you arrived with. Those are often different, and the gap between them is usually where the real problem is.

Short cycles, with working software at the end of each one. You see progress continuously rather than at a milestone review.

Code is written to be handed over. Documented, tested, and structured so the next person to touch it doesn't have to be us.

You get the people who wrote the code. We take a small number of engagements at a time and answer our own email.

Who it's for

A clear idea and nobody to build it. We take it from a conversation to something running.

A team with one specific gap — a data layer, a framework integration, a technical problem nobody has time to chase.

A founder who wants a technical partner rather than an agency that leaves at handover.

We aren't right for every job. A large team on site, or a fixed-price waterfall contract, isn't work we do well. Ask anyway: you'll get a straight answer in the first conversation rather than three weeks in.
