Human-first solutions

Intracia takes on software and web consultancy, and builds the product of the same name. We carefully craft software for optimal, delightful experiences.

Usability comes first, not last. The marketer editing a page, the developer picking up the code afterwards, the visitor who wants an answer — each of them meets the software on their own terms. We design for them before we design for ourselves.

Intracia is a consultancy, and has been building high-performance, scalable and secure web sites for years. We're finally now able to offer an editing and management solution to complement it.

Three principles

What that means in practice.

  1. 1. Software you love using

We design for the person who has to use it, not for the person who signs off on it. Intracia works properly on a phone, puts your tools and your content up front, and names things in plain words. Health checks and assistants keep you on track, and a confirmation dialog names the data it's about to affect.

  2. 2. An ethical business

No dark patterns, no lock-in, no revenue that depends on you not noticing. Your content stays in your own repository, so the door out is always open. We describe what the product does in clear, simple language, so you can tell whether it fits before you commit.

  3. 3. Your privacy first

We collect the least information we need to run a great service and see what's working. Analytics ask before they run and stay off if you say no, and nothing records you unless you start it. You can opt out at any time and exercise your privacy rights, regardless of whether your location legally enforces any.

Location

Where we are

We're based in St Peter Port, Guernsey — an island in the English Channel just off the coast of northern France. We can see the French coast on a clear day and it's a short ferry over.

Guernsey shares the UK timezone, so we get a full working day with Europe and a morning overlap with the US East Coast.
