Kerry Guardshe/her
Kerry is CEO of MKG Marketing, the B2B SaaS and tech agency she co-founded in 2011, and leads marketing and web design at Intracia. She spends most of her time on the same problem from two directions: how technical products explain themselves to the people who have to buy them.
Why Kerry
She works on how technical products explain themselves to the people who have to buy them. That is the same problem from two directions: the marketing that reaches a buyer, and the site that has to answer them when they arrive.
Her focus is Search Visibility Optimization. It's MKG's name for treating search, answer-engine and generative-engine optimisation as one problem: being the answer a buyer is given, not just a ranked link. A meaningful share of buyers never reach a results page at all.
She has run this for B2B SaaS and technology companies — mostly in cybersecurity and data management — as CEO of MKG Marketing, the agency she co-founded in 2011.
She is the editor Intracia was designed for. We built MKG's site and sites for MKG's clients: statically generated, fast and cheap to run, and edited by marketers rather than developers. The CMS came out of watching that gap.
That thinking shaped this site. Structured content, clean semantic markup, machine-readable metadata and a /llms.txt are what make a site legible to the systems that now stand between a company and its customers.
About Kerry
Kerry started out in media planning, deciding where other people's advertising money should go. Universal McCann on Verizon first, then the whole $10M Yoplait budget at Publicis Modem, then senior planner on Microsoft.com at MEC Global — by which point the technology work was the part she wanted. She left in 2011 to co-found an agency of her own.
Most of her work since has been with Silicon Valley technology companies: working out who the audience is, then closing the distance between that audience and a signup. Some of that is measurement — knowing which numbers mean something and which are flattering noise. Some of it is building: microsites for a single launch, or a whole site redesigned when the evidence says the site itself is what's in the way.
These days she lives in Guernsey, and hosts Back on T-R-A-C-K, a podcast where she asks CMOs and founders how high-growth companies get built.

You don't need WordPress any more
I ran WordPress for years — my own sites and clients', from cPanel to HHVM to a dedicated server. Then came the hack while I was asleep, and the content I couldn't manipulate. Why I left, and what I run instead.

Reintroducing Intracia
A new site, a clear list of the work we take on, and Intracia out in the open for the first time.
